Edgeway Events FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Edgeway Events is an in-house event design, fabrication, rental, production and event-management company based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We serve schools, churches, universities, companies, municipalities, nonprofits, festivals, private organizations and qualifying nationwide events.
Unlike companies that develop an idea and then pass the event to unrelated vendors, the same Edgeway team that helps conceptualize your event remains involved in building, producing and executing it. That gives our clients one accountable partner from the first idea through the final teardown.

Clients can hire Edgeway for a single rental, a custom attraction or a complete event designed and executed by our in-house team.
Is Edgeway Events an event-rental company or an event-planning company?
Edgeway is both—and considerably more.
We combine event planning, creative design, custom fabrication, equipment rentals, technical production, staffing and event-day management within one organization.
This means a client can begin with an idea rather than a finalized equipment list. Our team can help develop the concept, design the experience, identify what already exists in our inventory, fabricate what does not exist and execute the finished event.
Is Edgeway Events a one-stop event company?
Yes. Edgeway is designed to function as a true one-stop event partner.
Instead of requiring clients to separately coordinate a rental company, event planner, fabricator, graphic designer, AV company, entertainment provider and event-management team, Edgeway can bring those responsibilities together under one coordinated plan.
The result is fewer communication gaps, clearer accountability and a more consistent guest experience.
What makes Edgeway Events different from other event companies?
One of Edgeway’s primary differences is that we are an in-house creative and execution team.
The people helping conceptualize your event are not simply sales representatives who disappear after the contract is signed. Our creative, operational and production teams work together through planning, fabrication, preparation, installation and event-day execution.
We do not develop a vision and then hand responsibility to an unmanaged chain of unrelated vendors. Edgeway remains directly accountable for the quality and execution of the work within our contracted scope.
Does Edgeway own and operate its own event equipment?
Edgeway directly owns, supplies, maintains and operates much of the equipment used in our events.
Our inventory includes inflatables, bounce houses, water slides, mobile axe throwing, rock-climbing attractions, mechanical attractions, interactive games, sports challenges, AV systems, staging, furniture, concession equipment and many other event products.
Direct control of our core inventory allows us to maintain equipment standards, train operators, coordinate logistics and reduce the risk of an event being disrupted by an unknown or unreliable rental supplier.
Does Edgeway outsource its events?
Edgeway does not sell a concept and then hand the event off to a separate event company.
Our core event-design, fabrication, equipment, production and execution services remain under Edgeway’s direct leadership and control. The same internal team that develops the concept remains involved as the event moves toward execution.
When an event requires a specialized service outside our normal scope—such as a particular performer, caterer or licensed specialty trade—Edgeway can help coordinate that service within the overall event plan. Any third-party role is clearly identified rather than being presented as in-house work.
Custom Event Design & Fabrication
Can Edgeway create something completely new for my event?
Yes. Edgeway can design and fabricate original event elements that have never existed before.
You are not limited to selecting products from an online rental catalog. Our creative team can begin with your theme, story, brand, objective or unusual idea and develop a custom solution around it.
Custom projects may include:
- Original games and attractions
- Themed environments
- Scenic installations
- Specialized décor
- Interactive exhibits
- Branded activations
- Custom stages and set pieces
- Immersive storytelling environments
- Escape rooms and puzzle experiences
- Photo opportunities
- Oversized props
- Custom signage and graphics
- Interactive AV experiences
- Audience-participation elements

The final design depends on the event goals, venue, schedule, budget, safety requirements and fabrication timeline.
What kinds of custom attractions can Edgeway build?
Edgeway can develop physical, digital and performance-based attractions around the needs of an event.
Examples may include a branded game for a corporate activation, a custom challenge course for a school event, an immersive biblical environment for a church, a themed escape room for a conference, a one-of-a-kind stage experience or an interactive installation tied to a product launch.
Our team can combine scenic fabrication, graphics, lighting, sound, projection, physical challenges, actors, puzzles, games and audience interaction to create a unified experience.
Can Edgeway create immersive or story-driven events?
Yes. Edgeway can design immersive events in which the décor, activities, characters, sound, lighting, video and guest interactions all support a central story.
Immersive event services may include:
- Story and theme development
- Scriptwriting
- Character development
- Scenic design
- Custom props
- Escape-room puzzles
- Live performers
- Audio cues
- Video content
- Projection
- Lighting design
- Interactive challenges
- Guest missions
- Branded storytelling
- Guided event progression
These experiences can be created for schools, churches, companies, camps, fundraisers, conferences, festivals and private organizations.
Can Edgeway customize an existing rental?
Yes. Existing rentals can often be incorporated into a larger custom concept.
Depending on the equipment and project, Edgeway may be able to add custom graphics, branded panels, scenic surroundings, specialized gameplay, lighting, audio, signage, costuming or themed programming.
Customization options depend on the equipment, safety requirements, production schedule and intended use.
Can Edgeway create branded corporate experiences?
Yes. Edgeway designs branded experiences for companies, universities, associations and other organizations.
A branded activation may include custom games, company colors, logos, scenic installations, digital content, promotional displays, employee competitions, product demonstrations, photo experiences and interactive guest engagement.
Our graphic-design, fabrication, AV and event-management teams can work together to ensure that the branding is integrated throughout the event rather than added as an afterthought.
Does Edgeway provide graphic design?
Yes. Edgeway’s creative capabilities include event-related graphic design.
Depending on the project, our team can create:
- Event logos
- Signs
- Banners
- Backdrops
- Branded game graphics
- Directional signage
- Digital displays
- Social graphics
- Printed event materials
- Stage graphics
- Sponsor recognition
- Themed visual elements
Graphic design can be incorporated into a complete event package or quoted as part of a custom project.
Does Edgeway build custom stages and sets?
Yes. Edgeway can design and fabricate custom stages, scenic pieces and performance environments.
Projects can range from a simple presentation platform to a multi-element set for a theatrical production, worship event, corporate presentation or immersive experience.
The design can incorporate staging, scenery, lighting, sound, projection, entrances, moving elements and branded graphics.
How far in advance should I begin a custom fabrication project?
Contact Edgeway as early as possible.
Simple customization may require only a few weeks, while original attractions, complicated scenic environments, custom electronics or immersive productions may require several months.
The timeline will depend on:
- Design complexity
- Engineering and safety review
- Material availability
- Graphic-production requirements
- Testing
- Venue access
- Transportation
- Installation requirements
- Revision and approval timelines
Early involvement also allows Edgeway to help shape the idea around the available budget rather than attempting to retrofit a concept after important decisions have already been made.

Can Edgeway develop a district-wide school program?
Yes. Edgeway can work with school districts to create recurring programs rather than treating every event as an unrelated rental.
These programs can include standardized reward events, positive-behavior celebrations, district-wide event calendars, school-specific delivery pricing, approved attraction packages, funding structures and repeatable operating procedures.
Once the district’s requirements have been established, individual schools can work within the approved framework.
Does Edgeway work with colleges and universities?
Yes. Edgeway works with public universities, private colleges, student-life departments, athletics departments, campus ministries, residence-life teams and other university organizations.
We understand that universities may have complex purchasing rules, competitive quoting requirements, tax-exempt documentation, purchase orders, vendor-registration systems, insurance requirements and restrictions on advance payments.
Edgeway can build these requirements into the university’s organizational account so future departments can use an already established process.
Does Edgeway work with churches and denominations?
Yes. Edgeway supports individual congregations, church networks, denominational offices, camps, conferences and ministry organizations.

Edgeway can work with purchasing departments to establish approved vendor documents, certificates of insurance, standardized rates, invoicing requirements, delivery structures and department-specific rules.
Does Edgeway work with nonprofit organizations?
Yes. Edgeway works with nonprofit organizations on fundraisers, donor events, community programs, family events, awareness campaigns and mission-driven experiences.
Qualifying nonprofits may also be eligible for the Edges of the Field program.
Organizational Accounts & Customized Purchasing
Does Edgeway require a 50% deposit?
A 50% nonrefundable deposit is the standard booking requirement for customers without separately approved written payment terms.
However, Edgeway understands that many organizations—especially school districts, universities, municipalities, churches, corporations and government entities—cannot follow a standard consumer deposit process.
For approved organizational clients, Edgeway can create customized payment and purchasing policies based on the organization’s existing requirements.
Can Edgeway accommodate purchase orders or institutional payment processes?
Yes. Edgeway can accommodate approved purchase orders, institutional billing procedures and other established payment processes when those terms have been reviewed and approved in writing.
Depending on the organization, customized procedures may address:
- Purchase orders
- Deposit exemptions
- Net payment terms
- Tax-exempt purchasing
- Competitive quote requirements
- Vendor-registration systems
- Departmental billing
- Accounts-payable contacts
- Invoice submission portals
- Contract review
- Insurance documentation
- Spending limits
- Authorized users
- Required approvals
- Payment by ACH or check
- Event-specific funding sources
The goal is to adapt Edgeway’s process to the client’s legitimate organizational structure rather than forcing every institution into a consumer rental model.
What is an Edgeway organizational profile?
An Edgeway organizational profile is a customized account that stores the approved policies and requirements for a company, university, school district, municipality, denomination or other multi-department organization.
The profile can include organization-wide rules as well as department-specific requirements.
Once established, the profile may contain:
- Approved payment terms
- Deposit requirements or exemptions
- Tax-exempt documentation
- Billing addresses
- Purchase-order procedures
- Insurance requirements
- Authorized contacts
- Departmental permissions
- Preferred pricing
- Delivery rules
- Standard event requirements
- Invoice-routing instructions
- Contract requirements
- Internal reference numbers
- Venue or campus access information
This information does not need to be rebuilt from the beginning each time another approved department uses Edgeway.
Can different departments have different policies?
Yes. Edgeway can create both companywide and department-specific policies.
For example, a university may have general vendor and insurance requirements that apply to the entire institution, while athletics, student life and an individual academic department use different billing contacts, budgets or approval procedures.
Those differences can be documented in the account so each department receives the correct process without losing the benefits of the larger organizational relationship.
Why is an organizational profile helpful for universities and government clients?
Public universities and government entities are often subject to state law, local purchasing policies, public-fund restrictions and internal approval procedures.
An organizational profile allows those requirements to be documented once and reused. This can reduce repeated vendor onboarding, prevent incorrect deposit requests, improve invoice routing and help departments obtain quotes in a format their purchasing office can approve.
Can Edgeway become an approved vendor for our organization?
Yes. Edgeway can work with purchasing, procurement, risk-management and accounts-payable teams to complete an approved-vendor process.
Documentation may include:
- W-9 forms
- Certificates of insurance
- Vendor-information forms
- Legal business information
- Pricing documents
- Service-rate documents
- Safety information
- Payment details
- Tax forms
- Contract terms
- References
- Equipment inventories
Requirements vary by organization.
Preferred Partner Program
What is the Edgeway Preferred Partner Program?
The Preferred Partner Program creates an ongoing relationship between Edgeway and organizations that regularly use event services.
Rather than quoting every department or location as if it were an unrelated first-time customer, Edgeway can create a shared partnership structure with approved pricing, policies and benefits.
Preferred Partner relationships may be created for:
- School districts
- Individual schools
- Universities
- Counties
- Municipalities
- Church denominations
- Church networks
- Corporate groups
- Associations
- Nonprofit networks
- Multi-location organizations
What benefits can a Preferred Partner receive?
Benefits vary by agreement but may include:
- Preferred rental pricing
- Standardized delivery charges
- Organization-wide account setup
- Department-specific billing rules
- Priority consultation
- Shared purchasing documents
- Approved equipment packages
- Recurring event planning
- Dedicated account support
- Consistent contract terms
- Access for affiliated locations or departments
- Benefits for employees, members, parents or participating organizations when included in the agreement
All discounts and benefits are subject to the written Preferred Partner agreement.
Can a school district or county establish preferred pricing for every location?
Yes. Edgeway can work with a district or county to establish a shared pricing and purchasing framework.
The framework may include organization-wide discounts, location-specific delivery charges, approved labor rates, standard equipment lists and centralized purchasing documents.
Individual schools or departments can then request services using the established structure.
Can a denomination create benefits for its churches?
Yes. A denominational office, association or church network can work with Edgeway to establish a Preferred Partner relationship for participating congregations.
Depending on the agreement, participating churches may receive approved pricing, streamlined account setup, shared vendor documents, planning support or access to designated programs.
Can Preferred Partner benefits extend to employees, members or parents?
Some partnership structures can extend selected benefits to employees, members, parents or other affiliated individuals.
These extensions must be defined in the partnership agreement so the eligible users, services, restrictions and verification process are clear.
How does an organization become a Preferred Partner?
Contact Edgeway to discuss:
- Expected number of annual events
- Participating departments or locations
- Event types
- Purchasing requirements
- Geographic territory
- Desired services
- Pricing structure
- Employee or member benefits
- Approval and reporting requirements
Edgeway will then determine whether a Preferred Partner agreement is appropriate and develop a customized structure.
Edges of the Field Program
What is the Edges of the Field program?
Edges of the Field is Edgeway’s community-giving program for qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
Inspired by the biblical principle of leaving part of a harvest available to those in need, the program allows qualifying nonprofits to use certain available inflatable equipment at no rental charge when that equipment is not otherwise booked.
The program is intended to put unused inventory to work for organizations serving the community.
Who qualifies for Edges of the Field?
The program is for qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that can provide current documentation.
Eligibility, equipment availability and all program terms must be confirmed by Edgeway.
Can an organization reserve free equipment in advance?
No. Edges of the Field equipment cannot be reserved in advance.
The program applies only to eligible inflatable units that are unreserved and available when the organization visits the warehouse during operating hours.
This protects existing paying reservations while allowing available equipment to benefit the community.
How does Edges of the Field work?
A qualifying nonprofit should:
- Visit the Edgeway warehouse during operating hours.
- Bring current proof of 501(c)(3) status.
- Meet with an Edgeway manager.
- Review which eligible inflatables are available that day.
- Complete the required checkout documents.
- Transport the equipment using an appropriate vehicle.
- Return it on time, clean, dry, properly rolled and ready for the next renter.
The nonprofit is responsible for pickup, transportation, setup, operation, cleaning and return unless separate services have been purchased.
Does Edges of the Field include delivery or event staff?
Free delivery, setup crews, operators and event management are not automatically included.
Eligible organizations may ask about purchasing planning, event-management, transportation or staffing support separately. Reduced program options may be available for qualifying events, subject to current program terms.
Is every Edgeway rental available through Edges of the Field?
No. The program applies only to designated eligible equipment, primarily available inflatable units, and only when the equipment is not otherwise reserved.
Mechanical attractions, specialized equipment, tents, furniture, AV systems, custom builds and other inventory are not automatically included.
Can Edges of the Field be used for a large nonprofit event?
Potentially. A nonprofit may use available equipment through the program and separately hire Edgeway to help plan or manage the event.
For larger events, professional management can help coordinate transportation, setup, supervision, schedules, safety and teardown.

Residential customers may be directed to Edgeway’s customer-pickup rental program when full-service delivery is not available.

The site must have suitable water access, drainage, electrical service, supervision and setup conditions.

Axe throwing requires appropriate space, safety controls, trained supervision and participant rules. Event-specific requirements will be reviewed before booking.
Do you offer rock walls and mechanical attractions?
Yes. Edgeway offers rock-climbing attractions, mechanical rides and other high-participation experiences.
Many of these attractions require trained Edgeway operators, specific clearances, power requirements and controlled access.
Do you provide operators and attendants?
Yes. Edgeway can provide trained operators, attendants, technicians and event staff.
Some attractions require Edgeway personnel. Other rentals may be supervised by a properly trained adult provided by the client.
Your quote will specify all staffing requirements.
Event Planning & Management
Can Edgeway manage my entire event?
Yes. Edgeway can manage an event from concept development through final teardown.
A complete management scope may include:
- Creative development
- Budget planning
- Site planning
- Venue coordination
- Attraction selection
- Custom fabrication
- Vendor coordination
- Production schedules
- Staffing
- Guest flow
- Safety planning
- Setup supervision
- Event-day management
- Teardown supervision
- Post-event reconciliation
The exact scope is customized for the event.
Will I have one primary contact?
Qualifying managed events receive a primary Edgeway contact responsible for coordinating the contracted scope.
That contact works with Edgeway’s creative, warehouse, fabrication, production, staffing and logistics teams so the client does not have to manage each internal department separately.
Does Edgeway help with event layouts?
Yes. Edgeway can help plan equipment placement, guest circulation, activity zones, food-service areas, stages, seating, entrances, emergency access and operational spaces.
Site planning may require accurate measurements, photographs, venue diagrams or an on-site walkthrough.
Can Edgeway coordinate other vendors?
Yes. When an event includes outside specialists, Edgeway can coordinate their schedules and responsibilities as part of an event-management agreement.
The goal is to maintain one unified production plan rather than leaving the client to reconcile disconnected vendors.
Does every event require an Edgeway event manager?
No. Many clients rent individual products without purchasing complete management.
However, complex, high-attendance, multi-vendor or higher-risk events may require a qualified event manager. This protects the client, guests, venue and equipment by ensuring someone has authority over the complete event operation.
AV, Staging & Production
Does Edgeway provide professional sound systems?
Yes. Edgeway offers sound systems for speeches, ceremonies, corporate presentations, school programs, worship events, DJs, live music and outdoor events.
System design depends on the venue, audience, performers, inputs, coverage area and program requirements.
Do you provide microphones?
Yes. Available options may include handheld microphones, headset microphones, lavalier microphones, podium microphones and other event-audio equipment.
Microphone availability and frequency coordination depend on the event and equipment package.
Can Edgeway support live bands?
Yes. Edgeway can provide appropriately sized sound systems, microphones, mixing, staging, monitors and technical staff for qualifying live-music events.
A simple speaker rental is not equivalent to a complete live-band production package, so performer requirements should be provided early.
Does Edgeway provide lighting and video?
Yes. Edgeway can provide event lighting, stage lighting, screens, projection, LED displays, video playback and other visual-production services.
These systems can be combined with custom scenic design and branded content.
Does Edgeway provide audio and lighting technicians?
Yes. Trained technical personnel are available for qualifying events.
Technicians may be required for complicated systems, live performances, theatrical productions and events in which continuous operation is essential.
Local & Nationwide Service
Does Edgeway provide event rentals in Chattanooga?
Yes. Edgeway is based in Chattanooga and serves the Greater Chattanooga region.
Our local service territory includes Chattanooga, Ooltewah, Collegedale, East Brainerd, East Ridge, Red Bank, Hixson, Harrison, Soddy-Daisy, Signal Mountain, Cleveland and surrounding Southeast Tennessee communities.
We also serve North Georgia communities including Ringgold, Fort Oglethorpe, Rossville, Tunnel Hill, Rocky Face and Dalton.
Does Edgeway serve areas outside Chattanooga?
Yes. Edgeway regularly serves qualifying events outside the immediate Chattanooga area.
Travel, transportation, lodging, staffing and minimum-project requirements depend on the location and scope.
Does Edgeway provide nationwide event services?
Yes. Select Edgeway services are available nationwide for qualifying projects.
Nationwide services are particularly appropriate for:
- Corporate activations
- Multi-location programs
- Custom-fabricated attractions
- Touring experiences
- Immersive events
- Conferences
- Large festivals
- University programs
- Denominational events
- Branded installations
- Event production
- Specialized staffing and management
Not every individual rental item is economical to transport nationwide. Edgeway will determine whether equipment should be transported from Chattanooga, fabricated for the project or integrated with other project resources.
Can Edgeway ship or transport a custom build?
Potentially. Custom attractions, scenic elements and branded installations can be designed with transportation and repeated use in mind.
The design may account for modular construction, freight dimensions, assembly, storage, durability and installation requirements.
Can Edgeway manage the same event in multiple cities?
Yes. Edgeway can develop repeatable event systems for organizations operating in multiple locations.
A multi-city program may include standardized designs, branded equipment, operating manuals, touring staff, location-specific logistics and centralized project management.
Booking & Payment
How far in advance should I book?
Book as early as possible.
Popular attractions and equipment can reserve months in advance. Custom fabrication, nationwide programs and complicated productions require additional development time.
How do I request a quote?
Provide:
- Event date
- Event location
- Event type
- Estimated attendance
- Organization name
- Desired experience
- Equipment interests
- Budget range
- Operating hours
- Indoor or outdoor location
- Delivery and staffing needs
- Customization requirements
- Purchasing requirements
The more complete the information, the more accurately Edgeway can design the initial proposal.
Does receiving a quote reserve my event?
No. A quote does not reserve equipment or services.
A reservation becomes confirmed after the required deposit or approved organizational payment documentation has been received, a card or other approved security method is on file when required and Edgeway issues confirmation.
Can Edgeway work within an established budget?
Yes. Sharing a realistic budget allows our team to recommend the best use of available funds.
For custom events, budget information helps determine the appropriate balance among rentals, fabrication, entertainment, production, staffing and logistics.
Delivery, Setup & Saturday Events
Does Edgeway offer delivery?
Yes. Delivery is available for qualifying organizational events and contracted event packages.
Availability and pricing depend on location, equipment, order size, access, schedule and labor requirements.
Private residential customers are generally directed to customer-pickup options unless delivery has been specifically approved.
Does Edgeway provide setup and teardown?
Yes. Setup and teardown services are available when included in the contracted package.
Some products require professional installation. Other rentals may be delivered to a designated location without complete placement unless setup labor has been purchased.
Is Edgeway open on Saturdays?
No. Edgeway is closed on Saturdays in observance of the Sabbath.
Our office, telephone support and dispatch operations are unavailable during the Sabbath. This is a complete and total religious closure.
Can Edgeway equipment still be used on Saturday?
Yes. Saturday events must be arranged in advance.
Equipment is generally delivered, installed or picked up on Friday. Teardown, pickup or return is scheduled for Sunday or Monday according to the rental agreement.
Clients should inspect and test equipment before Friday closing because regular support is unavailable Saturday.
Why Choose Edgeway Events?
Why should I choose Edgeway instead of hiring several separate companies?
Using separate companies for planning, rentals, fabrication, AV, entertainment and staffing can create gaps in communication and accountability.
Edgeway integrates these disciplines within one event plan. Our internal teams share information, schedules and objectives so the event is designed as one experience rather than a collection of unrelated purchases.
Why does in-house execution matter?
In-house execution gives Edgeway direct oversight of quality, timing, equipment, staffing and creative consistency.
The team that understands why a design decision was made remains involved when that decision must be fabricated, installed and operated.
This reduces the risk of the original idea being diluted or misunderstood as it passes between unrelated companies.
Why is custom fabrication valuable?
Rental catalogs are useful, but they cannot anticipate every brand, story, venue or objective.
Custom fabrication allows the event to be designed around what the client is trying to accomplish rather than forcing the client’s idea into whatever products already exist.
How do I get started with Edgeway Events?
Contact Edgeway with your event date, location, audience, goals and budget.
You do not need to know exactly which rentals you need. Begin with the experience you want to create, and our team will help determine what should be rented, designed, built, staffed and managed.
