Job Description: As a Lead Event Setup and Execution Coordinator at Edgeway Events, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the setup, execution, and clean-up of events across the United States, leading by example as part of the setup crew. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Hands-On Setup and Preparation:

  • Lead by example in the setup and preparation of event venues, actively participating in the assembly of tents, inflatables, seating arrangements, and other rental items alongside the setup team.

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, ensuring all setup tasks are performed with care, attention to detail, and a spirit of service.

2. Team Leadership and Coordination:

  • Provide guidance, direction, and support to the setup crew, delegating tasks, and ensuring everyone is equipped to perform their responsibilities efficiently and effectively.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional event experiences.

3. Event Execution and Oversight:

  • Oversee the execution of event plans, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth operations throughout the event duration, while actively participating in setup and execution tasks as needed.

  • Maintain open communication with clients, vendors, and venue staff, addressing any concerns or challenges promptly and professionally to ensure client satisfaction.

4. Clean-Up and Teardown:

  • Lead the teardown and removal of rental items post-event, actively participating in the dismantling, packing, and loading of equipment alongside the cleanup crew.

  • Ensure all cleanup tasks are completed thoroughly and efficiently, leaving event venues in impeccable condition and ready for the next event.

5. Flexibility in Role Assignment:

  • Be open to serving as a work crew member on events led by other team leads when necessary, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to support fellow team members to ensure the success of all events.

  • Embrace the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of event setup, execution, and clean-up, regardless of assigned role, to maintain a cohesive and efficient team dynamic.

6. Self-Starter Mentality:

  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to your role, actively seeking opportunities to assist other team members, improve processes, and enhance the overall quality of events.

  • Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions to streamline operations and optimize event experiences.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in event management, hospitality, or related fields is desirable.

  • Proven experience in event setup, execution, or production roles, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and coordinate logistics for events of varying scales and complexities.

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to actively participate in hands-on setup, execution, and clean-up tasks alongside the team, leading by example and embodying a servant leadership mindset.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to perform at their best while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Physical stamina and flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts, as required by event schedules and travel arrangements.

Position Type: This position is available for both part-time and full-time hours, depending on the event workload. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to accommodate varying event requirements.
