Edgeway Goes Country Chic: A Wild Ride at the Wedding Filmmaker Workshop

When wedding filmmakers from across the globe gather for a week of inspiration, education, and community—you know it’s going to be something special. But when they want a real taste of Tennessee? That’s when Edgeway comes in swinging—axes and all.

Earlier this April, we had the absolute pleasure of bookending the unforgettable Wedding Filmmaker Workshop hosted by the phenomenal @emmak_films, with an epic southern-style welcome and a rootin’-tootin’ farewell celebration. With creatives flying in from across the world, it was our job to make sure they left with a true Tennessee memory stamped in their hearts—and we brought the firepower to do it.

Welcome to Tennessee—Now Throw an Axe

The week kicked off with an intimate Welcome Dinner on April 7th, nestled in the Smoky Mountain foothills. As the sun dipped low and the campfire crackled, guests were greeted with live tunes from @morgansmillmusic, farm-to-table cuisine from @familymealknoxchef, and a massage station courtesy of @tulabluevents.

But the real star? Edgeway’s Portable Axe Throwing setup. Not your average axe setup, this custom-built rig can roll anywhere—up hills, into tight courtyards, even up service elevators for indoor events. That night, it carved out the perfect balance of thrill and camaraderie as filmmakers took turns hurling axes, laughing, and bonding under the stars.

The Grand Finale: Boots, Bulls & a Whole Lotta Dancing

Just when attendees thought they’d soaked up all the southern charm Tennessee had to offer, the Farewell Dinner on April 9th came galloping in. This was no quiet send-off—it was a full-blown throwdown.

First up? Our high-energy line dancing troupe. Decked out in cowboy boots and bandanas, our dancers not only performed a crowd-pleasing routine, but got everyone up and two-stepping, grapevining, and boot-scootin’ together. From total beginners to surprise naturals, the dance floor was alive.

And then came the cherry on top: our mechanical bull. A few brave souls mounted up for the ride of their lives, while others cheered and filmed every glorious second. It was the perfect fusion of country fun and cinematic chaos.

A Community Fueled by Fun and Fellowship

It wasn’t just about the experiences we brought—it was about the people. The attendees, speakers, and vendors created an atmosphere of deep connection and wild creativity. From off-road Jeep tours with @smoky_mountains_jeep_tours, to educational sessions led by pros like @whiteinrevery and @filmsbymadeleine, this workshop was bursting with energy and heart.

We’re incredibly grateful to @emmak_films and @theweddingfilmmakerworkshop for inviting Edgeway to help bring their vision to life. Seeing the laughter, the dance moves, and the triumphant bull rides reminded us why we do what we do: to create unforgettable moments that bring people together.

Set against the backdrop of one of Tennessee’s most beautiful campuses, our fully portable rage room rolled in ready to help students shatter their stress—literally. Fully equipped with safety gear, smashable items, and plenty of hype, we gave students the green light to grab a bat and go full beast mode.

From midterm meltdowns to thesis-fueled frustration, each swing became a satisfying exhale. Dressed in protective gear and armed with their weapon of choice, students stepped into our wreck-it wonderland and let loose.

Let’s be real—college finals are brutal. But what if they could also be fun ? That was the vision behind bringing Edgeway’s mobile rage room to campus: turning a week of stress into a moment of celebration and empowerment.

Some students brought printed copies of essays they hated and gave them a dramatic farewell. Others scribbled the names of their hardest exams on plates before obliterating them with glorious force. And when the dust settled, you could see it in their eyes—they felt lighter, freer, maybe even a little invincible.

Edgeway Events is looking for two highly organized and customer-focused Part-Time Administrative/Office Assistants

to join our team! You’ll work closely with our Office Manager, Claire Dean, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, assisting clients with questions, bookings, and general inquiries.

Position Details:

Two part-time positions available
Shift 1: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Shift 2: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $9 per hour
Location: Edgeway Events office in Chattanooga, TN
Start Date: March 31, 2025

What You’ll Be Doing:

Answering phone calls and responding to emails in a professional and friendly manner.
Managing online chat inquiries, assisting customers with questions, and guiding them through bookings.
Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a seamless booking experience.
Keeping communication channels organized and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
Assisting with basic administrative tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service experience is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are even better!
Basic computer proficiency (email, chat systems, and booking software experience is a bonus).

A typical day includes preparing for deliveries or pick-ups, safely transporting, setting up, and operating event equipment and inflatables, all while engaging with guests and ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience. On lighter days, you'll assist with warehouse tasks like cleaning and organizing, and occasionally stay on-site during events to manage equipment and assist guests (PAID).

Key Responsibilities:

Safely maneuver box trucks, vans, or vehicles with trailers.
Set up and take down inflatable bounce houses, slides, and obstacle courses (ranging from 50-800 pounds).
Operate inflatables and event equipment on-site, ensuring they are safe and fun for participants.
Deliver top-notch customer service with a friendly attitude.
Work independently to manage deliveries and pick-ups after training.
Maintain punctuality, strong work ethic, and professionalism.
Adapt to varying weather conditions.

Qualifications:

At least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent
A clean driving record (subject to periodic review).
Availability to work weekdays and Sundays (we’re closed on Saturdays for the Sabbath).
